Artistic laboratory of painting and chiaroscuro led by Marco Maurizio Rossi
LOCATION
The artistic meetings are held at M. Marco Rossi's painting studios in the Costa del Gallo locality, near the town of Giove (TR). The village is located in the hills (330m) of green Umbria, a one hour drive from Rome, and can be reached by the Autostrada del Sole/A1 (exit Attigliano).
For those coming from far away it is possible to stay overnight at the holiday farmhouse where the activity takes place. (www.verdealloggio.it)

The first and third Sunday of each month, from October to June.
Sunday morning - 10.30 -13.00

The wonderful world of color:
The colour circle – image colours and lustre colours - a study of the chromatic perspective - the phenomena of irradiation and concentration - chromatic agreement - colour-light
of which:
space - shape and deformation - line - rhythm - tension -- movement - harmony - construction - composition.

"EXPLORING THE ARTISTIC QUALITY OF RAPHAEL"
Unlike the Sunday painting sessions, which provide a continuity of theme and student presence throughout the year, these weekends are open to everyone and the artwork is completed in the two days available. The chosen dates correspond to four periods of the year: the feast of Saint Michael, Christmas, Easter and the feast of St. John. The theme for these meetings will focus on artistic activity with the intention of rediscovering the forces of nature that are particularly active during these periods. For the feast of St. John we have added a four-day seminar to explore the qualities of Raphael through his works of art. The detailed program will be available in Easter 2010.

ART SCHEDULE FOR PAINTING COURSES HELD BY M. MARCO ROSSI
HOW TO APPROACH PORTRAITURE AND THE HUMAN FIGURE
THROUGH DRAWING, CHIAROSCURO AND COLOUR
The four humours and the typologies of the human being,
facial expression in relation to the inner nature of the human soul,
chromatic harmonies - portrait - human figure.
Pencils and charcoal crayons for chiaroscuro and watercolours for colour will help you to enter the two-dimensional surface of the blank sheet of paper. From here we will embark on a journey in which both internal emotions and forms and colours presented on the surface will meet. Through this interplay of the interior - exterior we shall attempt an exploration of the artistic element in figurative art.
Meetings will be held on Sundays (twice a month) from October to May at the 'Verdealloggio' holiday farm in Giove.

April: 06 - 20. May: 10 - 25. June 1 - 15
On Sundays there will be two meetings:
in the morning from 10:30 to 13:00
and in the afternoon from 14:30 to 17:00

Taijiquan (Tai Chi Chuan) Courses
On request, our guests can attend Taijiquan lessons.
The courses are held at Verdealloggio by Leonardo Ferri and timetables are flexible to accommodate our guests' requirements.
The courses are open to everyone and no specific previous experience is required.

Taijiquan is for anyone who'd like to get to know this ancient discipline, without any age restrictions, as it will adapt to all requirements.
Through Taijiquan everyone can regain awareness of our body movement.
